Panama is less than 10 degrees from the equator so the sun here can be very hot. However, because of its location, Bocas del Toro usually has a cooling breeze.

The water temperature varies only a degree or two year-round from its usual 29C (85F). The weather is variable, but always warm with a high of about 85 daily and a low of about 75 at night

The rainier season is from mid April to mid December with mid December to mid April being the dryer season. The trade winds blow during the dry season keeping the climate pleasant while a passing shower may cool things off.

Even though it is part of the rainier season, some of the calmest, sunniest times can be in September and October and the warm, Caribbean water is at its very best for diving.
