We are located in the Archipelago of Bocas del Toro, Panama. Just a 50 minute flight from Panama City, Bocas has become a haven for back-packers, surfers, and families.
Bocas is located less than 10 degrees from the equator, so the temperature stays between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit year round. The water temperature is also very consistent staying between 80 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
The rainy season on the Caribbean coast of Panama is between late April and early November, though warm afternoon showers are common year round.
The surf in the archipelago is truly something to behold. With over a dozen breaks to choose from and swells ranging from 4 to 12 feet, Bocas has been compared to Tahiti and Indonesia. Distributed between Caranero, Bastimentos and Isla Colon, there are several powerful beach breaks as well as a huge variety of long barreling reef breaks within a short water taxi ride.
Along with surfing there are several other activities that attract people to Bocas del Toro including beautiful beaches, scuba diving and snorkeling, wildlife and tours into Native Indian Communities . |
